Imelda Escatell

Flexroom

Imelda studied interior design and received a bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute of Houston. She started her career as a Design Specialist for Pottery Barn. Following, she took an interior design position under Steve Clifton at Scene One Interiors in the Houston Design Center. This experience was fiercely educational and rewarding. One of her very first projects with Steve was featured in the Houston Chronicle. Imelda is now a lead designer with Victoria Sheffield Interior + Exterior Design, an award-winning firm. She has been an active volunteer for ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter since her student years, which has been instrumental in her professional career. She enjoys creating spaces that are beautiful and functional for busy families. As a mother of three daughters and a spouse to a retired US Marine, she is especially skilled at project management, space planning and organizing. She loves cooking and baking for her family and friends, so kitchen design is one of her specialties. When she’s not busy being a mom or designing for her clients, you might her and her husband salsa dancing the night away.
